General Accountant

We currently have an excellent opportunity for an energetic Accountant who will be responsible for various General Ledger activities. Our Accountant will play major role in the corporate monthly close, budget formulation, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions and in the audit process as well.

Our Accountant will ensure that proper controls and procedures are followed with regards to the entering of data and journal entries into general ledger and accounting system; preparing inventory variance analysis reports and analyzing variances; analyzing inventory records on monthly basis for inconsistencies; contract accounting; reconciling beginning raw materials inventory, work-in-progress inventory and finished goods stock to account for the raw materials purchased and produced. Gathering and reporting of accounting data and transactions to various levels of management will also be required. There is also the opportunity for supervision.

Our educational requirements: either a Bachelor degree in Accounting or a closely related field and a CPA, or a MBA degree.

Our experience requirements: either/or a combination of at least 3-5 years of public audit or general audit accounting experience gained in a manufacturing environment.

Additionally, we require: proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; effective communications orally and in writing; maintain confidentiality of records and information, and work with vendors.
