Steam Turbine Engineer

Our Steam Turbine Engineer will have the following responsibilities:

  • Direction of the initial gathering of dimensional and non-destructive examination tests that need to be performed to assess the condition of turbine components.

  • Perform the initial evaluation of turbine components based on information gathered to assess their overall condition and its effect on continued operation and efficiency.

  • Generation of repair recommendations in accordance with industry standards based on sound design and engineering principles.  Assist in the presentation of those findings to equipment owners.

  • Creation of drawings and process specifications needed to perform the required repairs in conjunction with manufacturing engineering and planning.

  • Provide technical assistance to those performing the specified repairs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering;

  • Experience in design and repair of steam turbine stationary and rotating components is desired;

  • Familiarity with shop and in-place repair techniques and procedures;

  • Knowledge of steam and gas turbine design, construction, operation, maintenance and nomenclature;

  • Knowledge of typical manufacturing processes including machining, welding, heat treat, and materials;

  • Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD, Solid Works, and the Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point). 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Must have a valid passport and be will willing to travel on short notice and stay at off-shore locations for several days several times a year.
